Syd Bakal is a singer-songwriter, songleader, actor, and musician. Syd grew up at the Jewish summer camps OSRUI and Kutz. They were a recipient of a Bronfman Alumni Venture Fund grant to work on an album of original Jewish music, Tiftach. When they aren’t leading Friday night services for the Yale Reform Chavurah, they perform in theatre productions around campus, and around the world with their a cappella group, the Whiffenpoofs.
